They need to make it clear that you are signing a rolling contract. I have them chasing me for money, which is a nice reversal...

Looks like it may have been a Firefox problem as the Control Panel is available in Google Chrome.

Just sent the following email to 123. Has anyone else noticed Control Panel has been down for days?

I have been receiving auto-renewal emails from you recently for the www.pin-forum.com domain

Each time I tried to access the Control Panel at https://www.123-reg.co.uk/secure/ to renew the domain I received the Address Not Found message. This was the case for several days. Then received your failed domain renewal notice the day before yesterday and again told to access the control panel (same error message at your end). When I try to access www.pin-forum.com or access my emails I find the domain is dead. This is just over 24 hours from the renewal date and your control panel has been down for several days.

Tried to call your number but you are CLOSED.

I suspect this email may bounce back but I'll send it anyway.

Please fix your system and let me know when you will be reactivating my domain!

Regards

Same happened to me about the auto renewal, spoke with them and they said this is how my account was set up, which is a lie as it never happened that way before; its an obvious scam to make money. ive filled out the online form at bbc.co.uk/watchdog i encourage others to do the same.

This Auto renewal process has caught me out and i'm fuming because the money has only just come out of my account and it was the first I knew about it.

Basically last year I took out an instant site account and paid for the year.

4 months later I decided to switch to an eccommerce account which I pay for monthly.

Un be-known to me my instant site account which I thought would be cancelled has just been renewed again for another year which I never asked to be renewed!!!!

They provided me with no warning and as far as I knew this was a one time fee which I never asked for to be renewed.

I spoke to them and they said and they said accounts had to be cancelled online within 7 days. I for one couldn't even find how to go about cancelling this account anyway.

Its like they want it to happen to you
